  In 2013 won ik de Grand Prize Photo Essay van de fotowedstrijd World in Focus, uitgeschreven door het Amerikaanse fotovakblad Photo District News (PDN), voor de serie over de bewoners van de voormalige steenfabriek Rusthoven (klik hier).

De hoofdprijs bestond onder andere uit een zevendaagse masterclass met de New Yorkse fotograaf Jay Maisel aan de foto- en filmopleiding Maine Media in Rockport, Maine, USA. De week voorafgaand aan die workshop bracht ik met mijn gezin door in New York. In die twee weken maakte ik de foto's op deze twee indexpagina's.

  

In 2013 I won the Grand Prize Photo Essay in the photography contest World in Focus by the American photography magazine Photo District News (PDN), for the series about the inhabitants of the former brickworks factory Rusthoven (click here).

The grand prize included a seven-day masterclass with Jay Maisel, New York, at Maine Media in Rockport, Maine, USA. The week before I took the opportunity to visit New York City with my family. During these two weeks I took the pictures on these two index pages.
